Newswire of National News Agency Association to become part of CIS web portal - Itar-Tass rep

ANA. June 30. KAZINFORM. /Kurmat Samarkhan/ Improvement of activity of the Association of National News Agencies will become a step toward creation of the CIS Internet portal. Head of the Itar-Tass CIS and Baltic Sector Boris Grushin has made it public at the IX sitting of the heads of CIS state information agencies that started yesterday in Astana.
Mr. Grushin suggested opening a webpage to provide an open access to the newswire of the National News Agency Association. This page can be placed at the web sites of the news agencies.
"Organization of the Association's work will be realized along with the creation of the CIS Internet portal. Till the end of the year we should form a basis of the web site of the Commonwealth", he said.
As is known, the Association of National News Agencies was founded as a form of professional cooperation of the national news agencies of the CIS member states. Through the association the countries realize the agreement on information exchange concluded at the sitting of the CIS Prime Ministers' Council on September 18, 2003.
