Newly appointed UNICEF Representative in Kazakhstan met key partners

Last week Mr. Kukita met Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Kairat Umarov to present his credentials. The parties discussed on-going cooperation activities and prospects for further cooperation between UNICEF and the Foreign Ministry, the press service of UNICEF Kazakhstan reports.

Last Friday Mr. Kukita met with Mr. Askar Shakirov, Commissioner for Human Rights in Kazakhstan. They agreed on a number of areas for future partnership.

Later in the day Mr. Kukita met the Minister of Labour and Social Protection and the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women Affairs and Family-Demographic Policy under the Kazakh President, Ms. Gulshara Abdikalikova and exchanged views on key issues for children and youth in Kazakhstan and discussed areas of mutual cooperation in the future.
