Newborn baby found dead in abandoned building in Almaty region

According to the police department of Almaty region, the body of a newborn baby was found in a derelict building, Kazinform News Agency reports.
“The police launched a criminal case on the fact of murder of a newborn baby by mother. In the course of search measures, the biological mother of the child was identified and hospitalized. Currently, a set of investigative measures are being carried out to establish the circumstances of the incident,” the Department of Internal Affairs of the Almaty region stated.
Other information in the interests of the investigation is not subject to disclosure.
