New Vice Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan named

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Saken Mussaibekov has been named as the new Vice Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the ministry confirms.

Born in 1967, Saken Mussaibekov is a graduate of the Lenin Kazakh Polytechnic Institute and the Kazakh State Academy of Administration. Throughout his professional career Mr. Mussaibekov held many posts. He was assistant to the Majilis Speaker of Kazakhstan, director of administrative department of the Finance Ministry of Kazakhstan, Vice Minister of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan. In 2006 he was appointed non-staff advisor to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. He took up the post of managing director of "Kazyna" Sustainable Development Fund JSC in March 2008. Since 2012 - to present he served as general director of the Confederation of combat and strength sports of Kazakhstan. Mussaibekov will replace former Vice Minister of Culture and Sports Tastanbek Yessentayev.
