New Taraz international airport to be commissioned in 2014

TARAZ. June 12. KAZINFORM A presentation ceremony of a new airport took place in Taraz, Zhambyl region governor's press service reports.
The project of a new passenger terminal was presented to Minister of Transport and Communications Askar Zhumagaliyev and Governor of Zhambyl region Kanat Bozumbayev by a shareholder of JSC "Auliye-Ata International Airport" Vladimir Denisov.
The new passenger terminal will meet all modern requirements and enhance the airport capacity. In addition, 3,500-meter-long air strip is expected to be built at the new airport.
The new airport will offer direct flights to Moscow, Aktau, Antalya (Turkey), Urumqi (China) and other routes.
It is believed that the construction will be completed in the 1Q of 2014.
