«New Synergies» to help Kazakhstan and Turkey gain US 10 billion turnover
The Ambassador informed the Turkish Minister about the achievements occurred within the years of Kazakhstan independence, Kazakhstan's policy in the transport sector through the prism of "Kazakhstan - 2050" Strategy main provisions.
The parties emphasized that the launch of Kars-Tbilisi-Baku railway the following year would not only expand the logistical capabilities of Kazakh port in Aktau and would also give a huge impetus to the development of trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
Another important project aimed at the development of multimodal transfer is transportation of rail freight from Kazakhstan to Turkey in the south of the Caspian Sea through Turkmenistan and Iran.
Zhanseit Tuimebayev stated that the plot railway from Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan completed the Kazakh side.
The Ambassador noted the importance of building a shipyard in Aktau involving Turkish capital as Turkey ranks 6th among the world largest shipbuilding countries and has rich experience in the field. Implementation of this project will allow Kazakhstan to construct ships of higher class and carry out repair works and maintenance thus addressing social issues related to the creation of additional workplaces in the region.
Kazakh diplomat pointed out the successful cooperation development in the field of civil aviation with the leading role played by the national carriers of the two countries "Air Astana" and "Turkish Airlines", important contribution is made by "Scat" airlines (Shymkent-Istanbul-Shymkent flight) and "Pegasus " (Istanbul-Almaty-Istanbul flight).
B.Yildirim praised the pace of development of Kazakhstan's economy which growth was a record last year. He drew attention to the progressive nature of the cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport.
"An important aspect of enhancing cooperation in trade and economic sphere should be a joint program under the patronage of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Kazakh President, and Abdullah Gul, the " New Synergies" president.
Accordingly, the transport component has been the basis of the practical implementation of ambitious plans to bring the trade turnover between the two countries in 2015 to 10 billion dollars ", concluded the Minister.
