New sport TV channel starts airing in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. June 24. KAZINFORM A new Kazsport television channel will start airing in Kazakhstan on 1 July.
It has been announced by Minister of Culture and Information Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed today at the session of the Government.
"All preparatory work to set up the channel has already been completed. It will air on 1 July," Minister Kul-Mukhammed said.
In his words, the television channel will broadcast from KazMediaCenter. It will offer a broad menu of sports programs in two languages - Kazakh and Russian. It is expected that Kazsport will make short documentaries in the future.
Kazsport channel will deliver 14 hours of sports new daily from 10:00 a.m. - 24:00 p.m. via Otau TV, AlmaTV, Digital TV and other cable networks.
As reported earlier, the new sports channel has been launched on the instruction of President Nazarbayev.
