New refinery in Zhambyl region to produce 500 kg of gold
"On the eve of Independence Day a new process plant is commissioned in Zhambyl region. The project was constructed under the program of forced industrial and innovative development. The plant will bring positive changes in the economic development of the region and the Kordai area," said the Mayor of the region Karim Kokrekbayev at the opening ceremony. He stressed that 150 people have been employed at the plant. Most of them are residents of Zhambyl region. The project cost is amounted to 2.1 billion tenge. The gold mine and the plant will be operated by "Central Asia Gold Corp" LLP. According to the directorate of the gold mining company, it is planned to produce 500 kg of pure gold per year. In the future the plant will process up to 900 thousand tons of ore and produce 1 thousand kg of gold. Power transmission line-35 twelve km long, a substation with the capacity of 2500 kW, a crushing complex, as well as a mechanical repair shop have been commissioned on site. In the current year 7 new projects worth 25.4 billion tenge are planned to be put into operation in the region under the program of forced industrial and innovative development. It is worth noting that 1147 people will get new jobs. Among the projects to be launched are: the production of sodium cyanide in the Talas region, a wind power station and a gold-processing plant in Kordai area, meat processing plant in Zhambyl region, fish processing plant in Moiynkum district, a house-building plant and a factory for the production of aluminum radiators in the town of Taraz.
