New presidential address to help ease conditions for SMEs in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. January 17. KAZINFORM Some of the issues touched upon in the State-of-the-Nation Address by the Kazakh President should be regarded as the tasks for the Government of the country, Chairman of the Democratic Party "Ak Zhol" Azat Peruashev said.

"Today's presidential address is of paramount importance for our party and entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan on the whole. Many topics raised by the party were reflected in the State-of-the-Nation Address and sounded as the new tasks for the Government," Mr. Peruashev noted.

"According to the new address, the role of small and medium business is expected to grow and make 50% of country's economy," he elaborated.

The chairman of the Ak Zhol Party also stressed that the Majilis (Lower Chamber of the Kazakh Parliament) adopted a bill on bankruptcy, but the Cabinet later rejected the document with Ak Zhol's amendments.

"I really hope that after today's address the bill will be endorsed by either the Senate or the Majilis with necessary amendments. And, as a result, conditions for SMEs in Kazakhstan will be eased," A. Peruashev added.
