New OSCE Strategy for Afghanistan needed - President

"All of us are concerned over the problem of Afghanistan. There is no doubt that we need a new OSCE strategy regarding this country", N. Nazarbayev said.

According to the Head of the State, "the world community must enhance its efforts on rehabilitation of this long-suffering country". In his opinion, the initiative approved at the conference in London providing for region-by-region transfer of responsibility for security in this country is very important.

"Kabul's efforts to stop bloodshed in the country through re-integration of all representatives of political forces including Taliban in peaceful life deserve support. Whether we like it or not, they are native Afghan people and make an integral part of the population. They should live in peace and build their further life", the President said.
