New MP joins upper chamber of Kazakh Parliament

Recently elected MP Bibigul Akkuzhina was sworn in as a deputy of the upper chamber of the Kazakh Parliament, Kazinform News Agency reports.
During the oath, she swore to strengthen Kazakhstan’s integrity and independence and serve the country loyally.
Akkuzhina who represents Kostanay region in the upper chamber also joined the Committee for economic policy, innovative development and entrepreneurship.
Hailing from Kostanay region, Ms Akkuzhina is a graduate of the Baiturssynov Kostanay State University. Throughout her career, she was the deputy akim (mayor) of Kostanay and the chairperson of the Kostanay-based branch of the AMANAT Party.
