New gold waste dump construction begins at Aksu thermal station

PAVLODAR REGION. July 15. KAZINFORM On the territory of Aksu thermal station there has began the construction of gold ore waste dump number 3, "Eurasian Energy Corporation" JSC press-service informs.
"Number 1 waste dump has been built in a good temper. Earthworks involve 50 pieces of equipment: excavators, dump trucks, motor graders, and scrapers. The work is carried out in compliance with environmental legislation”, said Alexander Korolyuk, construction manager of the project.
Ten million square meters of ash fields at the new facility will be covered with a special coating called geomembrane. It will create impervious screen, provide protection of ground and surface water from pollution.
There will be also implemented a system of control status of filtering, dams and groundwater in the area of the dump.
The company investment will account to KZT 15.5 billion (tenge).
