New Court Palace opened in Astana

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - A new building of the metropolitan Court Palace has been officially presented today. Astana city akim Imangali Tasmagambetov visited the building presented and familiarized with main information, communication and infrastructural technologies used there, astana.kz reported.

It is known that there are 50 conference rooms in the new Palace, where the court of Astana city, Special inter-district economical court of the capital, Esil district court, and No.2 Esil district court are located. There are twice as many halls as there were in the old building. This allows holding court sessions more rapidly. Previously 15-20 cases were considered in one hall per day, now - 2-3 cases. As a result the number of complaints from the population has significantly reduced.

Regarding technical equipment of the building, it is known that audio and video equipment is installed in hall to record judicial processes, there is special equipment to hold video conferences. For the sake of citizens' convenience there are payment terminals for state duties and administrative penalties, as well as a system of automatic notification of participants of judicial processes via SMS and e-mail.

Besides, there are rooms of prosecutors, attorneys and mediators, 8 waiting rooms, rooms for psychological release and a museum.

An extended meeting was held after the presentation, where results of republican courts' work over the first six months of 2014 were announced.
