New clinic opened in Astana - Health Ministry

The gala opening of the institution was attended by the executive secretary of the Ministry of Health Serikbol Musin.

The new clinic was built under the state program called "100 schools. 100 hospitals". This modern medical institution employs doctors of more than 22 specialties. The complex has been commissioned in anticipation of Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and is equipped with the most advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment. There are medical and advisory-diagnostic departments and centers of family health, outpatient surgery, rehabilitation therapy and a youth health center.

The clinic will serve about 65,000 population of the capital.

"Within the framework of the project "100 hospitals" in Astana there were commissioned three health facilities during 2011-2012. About KZT 38 billion were allocated for their construction from the national budget", the statement reads.

This year the country was planning to build 197 health facilities, including 6 stationary objects, 21 clinics, outpatient clinics and 167 health centers and three other buildings (one of them is an ambulance substation). Currently the total number of completed facilities according to the project amounts to 75.

"In general, this year in Kazakhstan the national budget has been used for purchasing 258 units of sanitary vehicles totaling more than KZT5 billion", according to the preliminary results of the Health Ministry.
