New chairman of Information Committee named
Meirlan Rakhanov has been appointed as the new chairman of the Information Committee by the decision of the minister of culture and information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency cites the ministry’s press service.
Born in 1988 in Karaganda region, Meirlan Raikhanov is a graduate of the Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
He started his career in 2011 in the inner policy department of the akimat of Karaganda city. In 2012 he was promoted to become the chief specialist of the department. In 2013 he joined the printed media department of the Information Committee.
He was designated as an expert of the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2016 and rose through the ranks to become the head of the sector of the press service of the President in 2021.
