New akim of Pavlodar region appointed

PAVLODAR. December 20. KAZINFORM - Today at the meeting of the Pavlodar region the Head of the Administration of the President Karim Massimov has introduced a new oblast akim Kanat Bozumbayev, a former head of Zhambyl region.

Kanat Bozumbayev was born January 8, 1969. In 1993 he graduated from the "Economic and social planning" faculty of the Kazakh State Academy of Management. He is the honored power engineer of the CIS.

Since July 1993 to September 1997 .he had worked in government agencies and private companies.

September 1997-November 1997 - Head of the regional policy of the Ministry of Economy and Trade.
November 1997-September 1998 - Head of Consolidated Financial Department, Vice President for Economic Affairs at the National oil transportation company "KazTransOil" JSC.

September 1998-February 2001 - Vice-Minister of Energy, Industry and Trade, Oil and Gas Department Director. February 2001-May 2001 - First Vice-President of "Kazakhstan company on electricity grid" JSC

May 2001-August 2007 - Prezident of "Kazakhstan company on electricity grid".
August 2007-October 2008 - Chairman of the Board of "Kazakhstan Holding for Management of State Assets of Samruk" JSC.

November 30, 2009 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Bozumbayev was appointed the Governor of Zhambyl region.
