NEET youth share hits 7% in Kazakhstan

9,042,300 people were employed in Kazakhstan in the 4th quarter of 2023. Of them, 76.4 are wage-workers, and 23.6% are self-employed, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the National Statistics Bureau.

This is 76,700 more compared to the same period in 2022.
The highest indicators are observed in the field of information and communication, professional and research activity, art, entertainment and recreation.
Unemployment rate among the youth aged from 15 to 34 was at 3.4%.
The share of NEET youth (young people who are not in employment, education or training) made 7.1% (379,300 people).
