Needed to improve criminal legislation - President of Kazakhstan

ASTANA. September 1. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ The Kazakh President noted the need to improve the criminal and criminal procedure legislation in the field of countering organized crime.
"It is necessary, without delay, to consider several bills on strengthening of the judicial system. We are talking about legal standards that enhance the role of local courts and expanding the supervisory role of the Supreme Court," Nazarbayev said at the joint session of the Parliament on Thursday, September 1.
"Another important issue is to simplify the proceedings and remove unnecessary red tape from the system of justice," the President added.
