Necessary to strengthen humanitarian component of process of Afghanistan's situation regulation - K.Saudabayev
Acting OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev has announced at the winter session of the ESCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna on Thursday, February 18.
"The important task for the OSCE and the whole international community is rendering assistance to the Afghans in the transformation of the war-torn country into a peaceful, constructive and independent society based on democratic principles and values", K.Saudabayev.
He noted that Astana allocates USD 50 mln for the Afghans training in the Kazakh educational establishments, and intends to activate the Kazakh participation in implementation of the projects on strengthening Afghanistan's borders with the Central Asian states, development of trans-border cooperation and strengthening the law protection activity.
As K.Saudabayev emphasized, Kazakhstan's partners on the OSCE positively perceive inclusion of the 'Afghan' topics among the most important priorities of the country's activity on the post of the Organization's chairman. "We suspect that this topic should be a key one in the course of the OSCE Summit", he emphasized.
It is necessary to note that the issues of regulation of Afghanistan's situation, which are on the agenda of the OSCE PA's winter session, will be discussed in the format of special debates at the session of all three committees of the OSCE PA.
