Necessary to revive the Silk Road: Lithuanian Ambassador to Kazakhstan

ALMATY. January 29. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilinskaya/ It is necessary to revive the Silk Road. Lithuanian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Romualdas Kozyrovichyus has said it today at a briefing devoted to opening of the international conference "Role of logistics on the way Asia-Europe" in Almaty.

The diplomat noted that formation and development of logistic production, trade, transport and informational systems is of paramount importance for Kazakhstan since it will allow to accelerate the country's integration into the world economic and information space.
"Kazakhstan chairs the OSCE, the country started working in the Customs Union this year. All of this will improve both transport connection and logistics between Kazakhstan and Europe", the Ambassador said.
