Necessary to build effective Kazakh-Russian industrial cluster: Kazakh President

 PAVLODAR. September 19. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan and Russia are to sign 27 agreements worth 2 billion US dollars in follow-up of the Kazakhstani-Russian International Cooperation Forum in Pavlodar.

Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the opening of the forum on Wednesday.

"Our partners from Russia help us in innovative industrialization of our economy and significantly contribute to this process. Russia and Kazakhstan have 26 projects totaling 5.5 billion US dollars. As far as I know, upon results of this forum our countries will sign 27 more agreements worth 2 billion US dollars. Kazakhstani-Russian partnership in the sphere of industrial cooperation is about to enter a brand new phase," N. Nazarbayev noted.

In addition, President Nazarbayev stressed that 'Astana eyes necessity of profound industrial cooperation between the two nations.'

"It is high time to build an effective interregional industrial cluster. One of the most successful examples is a vehicle assembly in East Kazakhstan region," the Kazakh Leader pointed out.
