Nearly thousand evacuated from Samara rural district of Karaganda region due to flooding

KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Nearly one thousand people have been evacuated fromSamara rural district due to flooding, district governor's office reported.
In connection with rising of water levels at Samarkand and Intumak reservoirs it was decided to evacuate the population of Samara rural district. 12 vehicles evacuated 953 persons, the district authorities informed. Evacuation was organized in the neighboring village of Sarepta. Local entrepreneurs have helped with hot meals. It was noted that Abai district branch of the House of entrepreneurs has opened food and clothes collecting points to support flood victims and evacuees.
