Nazarbayev University to start building ecological lab in Borovoe resort area – Kazakh President

ASTANA. April 18. KAZINFORM – The project related to ecological lab establishment in Borovoe will be confirmed in case it helps solving the problems of the region and aims to «green economy», it has been declared today by the Head of Kazakhstan during the meeting of High Guardians Council of the «Nazarbayev University» , the «Nazarbayev intellectual schools» and the «Nazarbayev Fund».

"This year the university must solve all organizational issues and begin the construction of the National Cancer Center within the National Medical Holding. This order was given in December last year and it stands as a problem of Kazakhstan development till 2050. I think this is the most important task for the people. We discussed it long time ago and now it is time to act. The current year the university must also start building the ecological laboratory in the resort and recreational area of "Burabay", said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

According to the President, the territory of the region has got plenty environmental problems, thus the laboratory could make a contribution to their examination and decision-making.

"It has been decided this way on purpose. The project can start if the laboratory is able to meet the challenges of forecasting hydro-, wind- and solar energy, and will study the efficient use of water, water purification, water balance dynamics, and finally, if it is focused on the "green economy", stated the President.
