Nazarbayev: Unity of people - pledge of our success

ASTANA. May 1. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "Our success in political and socio-economic development was reached due to unity of our people", President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said congratulating Kazakhstanis on May 1st holiday.

"Dear Kazakhstanis! I congratulate you on the People's Unity Day of Kazakhstan!

This year we celebrate this holiday on the threshold of the 20th anniversary of our independence. Over this period Kazakhstan has reached significant success in its socio-economic development and has gained great authority in the international arena. The capital city of Kazakhstan - Astana - became a host for many international events. Kazakhstan chaired in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. This year it will preside in the Organization of the Islamic Conference", N. Nazrabayev noted.

According to the President, unity of the nation is a high notion. "Due to the people's unity Kazakhstan could preserve its political stability and peace and harmony in the society. Unity of people is a pledge of our success", he stressed.
