Nazarbayev told what he and Putin discussed behind closed doors

PAVLODAR. September 20. KAZINFORM "During the meeting with the Russian President, we discussed the forthcoming celebratory event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Kazakh-Russian diplomatic relations' establishment," Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev informed at a joint briefing in Pavlodar.
Besides, the key issues of cooperation in the sphere of exploration of outer space, joint use of "Baikonur "complex, rational use of water resources and trans-border rivers' conservaation were talked over.
In addition, the issues of industrial innovation interregional development, effective interaction in the sphere of fuel and energy sector were considered at the meeting.
"I am pleased to note the steadily developing trade between the two countries. Over the past year, turnover rose by 30% to exceed 23 billion dollars, in the first half of 2012 exceeded USD 11 billion. As part of this forum we concluded more than 20 commercial agreements worth about USD 2 billion," the Head of State added.
