Nazarbayev to attend Caspian Summit

"The forum ahead will debate issues concerning the future legal status of the Caspian Sea to lay the foundation for the convention. Three intergovernmental agreements will be signed at the summit," Ambassador-at-large of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Zulfiya Amanzholova said on the eve of the forum. According to her, Kazakhstan has been consistently holding its ground developed back to 1990. The country's position was disseminated as an official document of the United Nations Organizations. The country's stands for delimiting the Caspian Sea water area preserving a territorial sea, a fishing area and common water space. As for delimitation of the seabed, Kazakhstan speaks for, delimitation between the neighboring states by agreement using acknowledged methods and principles of international law.
