Nazarbayev receives newly appointed ambassadors of several foreign countries

Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from Azerbaijan - Zakir Arif ogly Heshimov, Iraq - Radzhekh Saber Abbud al-Musaui, China - Zhou Li, Pakistan - Mohammad Akhtar Tufail, Turkey - Lale Ulker and Ukraine Oleg Demin presented credentials to the President.

Taking the floor the President noted that it was symbolic to happen on the first day of the Muslim holiday Oraza ait. Nursultan Nazarbayev wished success and well-being on this holy day.

'Iraq is one of the Arab world states, geographically closest to our country therefore Kazakhstan is really interested in stable peace in that country and going back to normal peaceful life in the country with so difficult situation', the Head of the State said.

The President noted that Azerbaijan was a strategic neighboring country of Kazakhstan on the Caspian Sea. The countries have a lot of common. Intentions to develop bilateral trade economic relations and convergence of views on the Caspian issue unites us even more.

Kazakhstan also pays great attention to development of cooperation with Islamic Republic of Pakistan that plays important role in the Central Asian region and Islam world. These two countries interact within many regional and international organizations.

'The cooperation with China is one of the main directions of Kazakhstan's foreign policy. Our relations are an example of successful partnership which is based on political respect, trust and dynamic growth of trade-economic relations', the President emphasized.

The Head of the State noted that development of multidimensional relations with Turkey was of high importance for Kazakhstan especially regarding trade-economic and investment spheres. Joint program New Synergy will give a new impetus to these relations.

Nursultan Nazarbayev also said that Kazakhstan was interested in further successful cooperation and strong friendship with Ukraine. Peoples of these two countries are tied historically and culturally.

Newly appointed ambassadors, in turn, expressed their gratitude to the President for his encouraging words and assured him in exerting every effort to develop the cooperation between their countries and Kazakhstan in future.
