Nazarbayev opens new vital section of Western China-Western Europe transit corridor

ASTANA. December 20. KAZINFORM A new section of the Western China-Western Europe transit corridor has been launched today by President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The launching ceremony of the Shymkent-Turkestan section took place within a teleconference bridge dated to the Day of Industrialization in Astana.
Within the televised conference, Vice Minister of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan Mereke Pshembayev confirmed the new section of the Western China-Western Europe transit corridor was ready to be put into commission and asked the Head of State to give the go-ahead.
After the official launch, President Nazarbayev noted that particular section of the corridor is of paramount importance since it links the southern parts of Kazakhstan.
