Nazarbayev opens monument to victims of Kyzylagash tragedy

ALMATY REGION. August 13. KAZINFORM /Sandugash Duisenova/ President N.Nazarbayev took part in the opening ceremony of a monument to victims of Kyzylagash tragedy within his working trip to Almaty region on Friday.
The monument was installed in that part of the village which took the brunt of the disaster. The base of the monument is fronted with granite. The monument itself is made of granite and concrete. The height of the monument is 7 meters, the width - 14 meters.
The author of the monument is a member of the Union of Architects of Kazakhstan Kabi Baulykov.
