Nazarbayev left for Kiev

ASTANA. April 19. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has left for Kiev today to take part in Nuclear Safety Summit.

The upcoming event will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh MFA.

Participation of N. Nazarbayev in the Summit demonstrates again Kazakhstan's great contribution to the process of nuclear weapons non-proliferation and disarmament, ensuring nuclear safety and peaceful use of nuclear energy.

Presidents and heads of government of several European and Asian countries, the UN Secretary General, heads of the IAEA, the European Commission and other international organizations have already confirmed their participation in the Summit.

On April 20 N. Nazarbayev will start his official visit to the Republic of Estonia. Several agreements and memorandums aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres are expected to be signed during the visit.
