Nazarbayev launches new power line North-South in Ekibastuz
"КЕGОК JSC carried out your commission on completion of the large infrastructure project ahead of the schedule. Construction of the second line 'North-South' was completed. Launch of the second transit will ensure energy needs for the anti-crisis programs implementation in the south region of the country", executive controller of the substation Amirzhan Bagirov said.
The Head of the State pressed the button and launched the new line.
The President congratulated people on the largest labor victory, which has big importance for Kazakhstan's industrialization. Such facilities have not yet been constructed at the post-Soviet space. Now we do not depend on foreign suppliers - the South is ensured by energy.
"We agreed with Vladimir Putin on help to Russia - we will supply 500 MW", Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The power bridge amounting to KZT 43.6 bln originates in Pavlodar oblast, where power stations with high capacity and base lines connecting Siberia, Kazakhstan and South Ural are concentrated. The line construction allowed to gain cooperation experience with the world banks.
