Nazarbayev held several bilateral meetings
The President met with Secretary General of the OIC Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu.
The sides discussed the matters of further development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation as well as an agenda of the 38th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.
"We discussed the future activity of the OIC. This year Kazakhstan became a chair country of the Organization. We hope for fruitful interaction. The high level of preparation of this historic meeting showed how successfully we cooperate. Now we have new ideas, new projects, even a new name and an emblem. Now we are working on approval of the Human Rights Commission under the OIC, and it will be one more key achievement of the meeting in Astana," Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu said.
The Head of State met with President of the International Peace Institute Terje Rød-Larsen.
They discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation as well as the agenda of the 38th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.
The Head of State received Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri.
The issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
