Nazarbayev followed his own path throughout political career: Russian MP Savchenko

Deputy of the Russian State Duma Oleg Savchenko said at the international conference "The Role of the President of Kazakhstan - Leader of the Nation N.A. Nazarbayev in the development of parliamentarism in Kazakhstan" in Astana on Thursday.

"Thanks to President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Republic of Kazakhstan has formed its constitutional and political institutes that have proved their relevance and viability in the course of time. One of his initiatives has resulted in the development of the "Kazakhstan-2050" Development Strategy. Recently, me and my colleagues have discussed the provisions of that program. Despite the fact it was introduced in December 2012, its implementation is already underway. All friendly nations, including Russia in the first place, look up to its economic and political ideas," Mr. Savchenko noted.

According to the Russia MP, Nursultan Nazarbayev is one of the few modern political figures who has consistently made a stand for the right to follow his own path throughout his political career; the path of statebuilding, effective economy and democracy based on the national consent, unity and stability.
