Nazarbayev awarded title of Honored Doctor of Kiev Taras Shevchenko University

ASTANA. September 15. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has visited the National Taras Shevchenko University of Kiev during his state visit to Ukraine; Kazinform has learnt from the Kazakh President's press service.
At the meeting with students and faculty Nursultan Nazarbayev was awarded a title of Honored Doctor of the Taras Shevchenko University.
The President noted that Kazakhstan highly appraised scientific and educational potential of Ukraine. He emphasized the current multilateral cooperation between Kazakh and Ukrainian universities, science academies. For instance, the Eurasian National Gumilyov University in Astana and Kazakh National Al Farabi University in Almaty have partnership relations with Ukrainian higher educational institutions.
The same day President Nazarbayev met with Chairman of the Supreme Rada Vladimir Litvin.
