"Nazarbayev and the Making of Kazakhstan" book by Jonathan Aitken presented in Moscow

MOSCOW. May 20. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov participated in presentation of the Russian edition of a book by Jonathan Aitken entitled "Nazarbayev and the Making of Kazakhstan" in the ITAR-TASS Office in Moscow.

K.Massimov expressed gratitude to the book author, ITAR-TASS Agency and the Russian publishing house "Fiction" for organizing publication.

"This book is about Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, not only as a leader of the nation and head, who stood at the origins of formation of the independence of our country, but reflects human qualities, and how he passed this way", the Premier noted.

According to Jonathan Aitken, creation of the first Western biography of Mr.Nazarbayev was an interesting dive in history, politics and culture of Kazakhstan and Russia. "The life of President N.Nazarbayev can be named as an epic political narration, but it is full of warm human moments", the writer emphasized.

"Being a former politician, writer and historian, I am sure that he will receive the same recognition in the West like in the Russian-speaking world for his contribution to strengthening international mutual understanding and peaceful co-existence. I am proud that I wrote biography of this great person", the author said.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and State Secretary of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin noted that this book is not a laudatory description, but thoughts of Nursultan Nazarbayev and the author of what is the formation of Kazakhstan as a nation and country, it is also a very careful look at the future of Kazakhstan.
