Nazarbayev and Karimov discussed combating transnational threats coop

ASTANA. September 7. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan intend to expand cooperation in combating transnational threats and challenges," President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev announced today at a press briefing in Akorda Presidential Residence following the meeting with President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.
"During the talks we have discussed cooperation in international organizations, issues on the agenda, in particular the situation in Afghanistan and the Middle East. A lot will depend on our mutual efforts in the spheres of security and stability in Central Asia," the Kazakh President said.
According to him, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan intend to expand cooperation in combating transnational threats and challenges in the international organizations and bilateral relations.
