Nazarbayev and Erdogan discussed Middle East situation, problems in Afghanistan and Syria

ASTANA. October 11. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the situation in the Middle East and the problems in Afghanistan and Syria.
According to Nursultan Nazarbayev, relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey in the fields of energy, transport, science, education and culture were also discussed in detail at the meeting.
"Today we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. Turkey is the closest strategic partner of Kazakhstan. Together with the independence we regained the lost connection. We returned to the Turkic world. We got to know each other. Our space has expanded; we have more friends," the President of Kazakhstan told.
