Nazarbayev and Alekperov discussed LUKoil investment issues

ASTANA. October 9. KAZINFORM Today, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with President of JSC "LUKoil" Vagit Alekperov during the visit to Russia, the press service of Akorda reported.
Issues of investment activity of "LUKoil" Company in the Kazakhstan's oil-producing sector and perspectives of cooperation with JSC National Company "KazMunayGas " were discussed at the meeting.
V. Alekperov also informed of realization of great industrial projects in oil and gas sector in West Kazakhstan.
Lukoil carries out exploration and/or production of oil and gas in Russia and as of 2008 thirty other countries, amongst others Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Colombia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela.
It takes part also in seven mining projects and in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium being one of the largest Russian investors to Kazakhstan.
