Nazarbayev: 15th Astana anniversary - national festival of Kazakhstan's people

ASTANA. July 5. KAZINFORM - The 15th anniversary of Astana is a national festival of the people of Kazakhstan. This statement was voiced by Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, at the ceremony of raising the national flag and handing shoulder straps to the military schools graduates.

"Astana is innovative core of Kazakhstan. Here was given a birth to a new branch of our industry which had never existed in Kazakhstan, such as construction of locomotives, rail cars, helicopters and engines. New universities educate people for innovative industry of Kazakhstan.

Astana has become the new spiritual and cultural center. Here is situated a unique concert hall titled "Astana Opera."

The President said that "the history of young Astana is a chronicle of the national dream that has ame true. For 15 years, hundreds of thousands of Kazakhs from all regions of the country have made a significant contribution to construction and establishment of our capital. For every citizen of Kazakhstan Astana is close to heart a homeland particle".
