NATO interested in further partnership with Kazakhstan - meeting in Senate

The parties discussed the issues of further interaction between Kazakhstan and NATO, including the interparliamentary cooperation.

K. Tokayev noted the dynamics of contacts within the framework of the Partnership for Peace program. He said it was necessary to strengthen constructive cooperation at the parliamentary level. "A very important event for deepening of partnership relations and direct dialog with NATO is holding of the 71st Rose-Roth Seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Astana", he emphasized.

Mr. Scheffer appreciated the level of bilateral interaction and expressed interest in strengthening of interparliamentary relations between Kazakhstan and the Alliance.
