NATO does not compete with Russia in influence on Kazakhstan

KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ The NATO does not compete with Moscow in the influence on Kazakhstan, NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer commented on the last interview given by Permanent Representative to NATO Dmitry Rogozin after the plenary meeting of the III EAPC Security Forum in Astana.
"I do not aspire to react to some analogies made by someone, for instance by the Russian Representative in NATO. The NATO does not use such terminology. The NATO does not compete with anybody", - Jaap de Hoop Scheffer said at the press-conference.
"I was engaged in the work at the region in different capacities, such as Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, one of the OSCE heads and now as a NATO Secretary General. NATO Forum is not aimed at competition",- he said.
