NATO counts on Kazbat in peacekeeping operations

ASTANA. June 26. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The NATO expectd the Kazakh Peacekeeping Battalion to join the peacekeeping operations held in Central Asia and other regions of the world. Head of Liaison Office for Central Asia at NATO Tugay Tuncer announced this today at the 71st Rose-Roth Seminar of the NATO PA; Kazinform reports.
"The reforms of military institutions and security bodies are a very important sphere. Achievement in interoperability between the armed forces in medium and long-term prospects is the best example of cooperation between the NATO and Kazakhstan", - T. Tuncher said.
"The armed forces of Kazakhstan and other countries can participate in peacekeeping operations whereas the best example of it is the Kazakh Peacekeeping Battalion Kazbat. We expect Kazbat to take part in peacekeeping operations in Central Asia and other parts of the world", - he added.
