National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health received international accreditation
'The work on introduction of more than 300 different standards in the sphere of medicine has been consistently held since 2009 and the National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health received the JCI accreditation,' Y. Birtanov said.
This accreditation implies that the measures on ensuring the quality of medical services and security of patients of hospitals meet the international standards.
'I consider it as an achievement in the system of healthcare of Kazakhstan because such a result was achieved for the first time in the territory of the post-Soviet countries,' he added.
Besides, starting in 2012 these standards will be spreading in the other polyclinics of the Medical Holding. 'We expect that all the hospitals of the Holding will be accredited by 2014,' Y. Birtanov emphasized.
The JCI accreditation is worldwide acknowledged and around 300 hospitals are accredited on these standards in the world.
When establishing the National Medical Holding in 2008 the task on introduction of the international standards of quality in the polyclinics of the Holding was set.
