National information agencies' interaction important in strengthening coop among CIS countries - Sec of State
During the meeting K. Saudabayev noted President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev consistently submitted initiatives on integration in Eurasia, reforming the Commonwealth with the aim of preserving this Organization and full realization of its potential. Experts say these are the prospects of interaction among the CIS countries primarily in strengthening cultural-humanitarian cooperation which in its turn provides for people's awareness of their neighbor's life. In this context it is difficult to overestimate the importance of interaction of the national information agencies, the main suppliers of information for the most part of the printed and internet mass media in the CIS.
"One of the advantages of the post-Soviet countries' integration, especially, in the period of globalization, is the presence of common historical and cultural heritage which serves as a good basis for mutually beneficial cooperation. But it is also important to work actively with the youth, to bring up the sense of understanding and friendship between our nations", the Sec of State noted.
In this view Kazakhstan can serve as a model of supporting and strengthening the inter-ethnic and inter-faith harmony in the country. Many CIS countries as well as the OSCE ones express huge interest in stability, inter-ethnic peace and harmony, activity of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan, a unique institution on strengthening friendship among different ethnical groups and religions. And tomorrow's Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions' Leaders proves efficiency of the policy of the First President of Kazakhstan.
Upon completion of the meeting the Secretary of State wished success to the members of the Council and expressed hope that its activity would serve for strengthening friendship and partnership on the Eurasian space.
