National Human Rights Action Plan adopted in time - UNDP Permanent Representative in Kazakhstan
The document was approved by the Head of the State and appraised by the international experts on human rights. It was noted that this document became the first one in the countries of Central Asia, Middle East and Eastern Europe. "It is a good example of our country's adherence to the principles of further democratization in the society", S.Tursunov emphasized.
According to him, human rights protection can not be realized without considering the world experience - this fact defined Kazakhstan's decision to join most UN conventions on human rights and other spheres.
Permanent Representative of the UN Development Program in Kazakhstan Haolyan Shu considers that this document adoption means an important stage in modernization of the human rights protection system. And it is timely adopted. H.Shu emphasized that the Human Rights Action Plan implementation will promote effective strengthening of the principle of supremacy of human rights and freedoms.
Deputy Mayor of Almaty Serik Seidumanov noted that the document has international and internal aspects. "It is necessary to stress attention to those spheres, where we do not reach international standards on human rights protection", he considers.
The heads of the state bodies, NGOs, members of the international organizations and diplomatic representations accredited in Kazakhstan, representatives of advocacy, notary offices, business and other took part in it.
