N. Nazarbayev visited air-assault brigade and air base in Almaty region
N. Nazarbayev familiarized with the activity of the brigade in the sphere of military-political dimension of the OSCE that Kazakhstan has to fulfill.
Commanders of the air-assault brigade showed the Head of the State the armament and told about the history of the base and purposes it had been established for.
The Head of the State familiarized with the training process of the soldiers in small computer simulation. While visiting the 604th air base of the Air Forces of Kazakhstan the President checked out major weapon systems, equipment and warplanes. The base was established in 1999 in the territory of the 129th Fighter Bomber Aviation Regiment.
The main type of training of the 604th air base is flight training. The pilots are getting ready for the flight in any weather conditions, at day time and night time, along and by groups. The flights are carried out 2-3 times a week.
