N.Nazarbayev supports all measures aimed at peaceful resolution of the situation in Ukraine

The Presidents reviewed the main issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, as well as relevant aspects of the international agenda. In addition, the two leaders discussed the situation in Ukraine and the ways of its settlement. Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed the importance of the meeting which allowed the parties to exchange views on a number of important issues of bilateral collaboration. Kazakh President also noted that Kazakhstan widely uses Ukrainian agricultural and municipal machinery. Trade volume of $4 billion has fallen threefold but the countries have the opportunity to reach the previous level. The Head of State noted that he supports all measures aimed at peaceful resolution of the situation around Ukraine. P.Poroshenko stressed the need for active use of the existing potential for collaboration in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other key areas. "We need to start the work of the intergovernmental commission, which should help to eliminate barriers between the two countries. I would also like to thank you for the strong and consistent support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine," said the President.
