N. Nazarbayev says Kazakhstan and France share position regarding Afghanistan

Nursultan Nazarbayev said: " Speaking about security in Kazakhstan or any Central Asian country we cannot but omit the problems of Afghanistan, Iran and the situation in Iraq and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. All these problems have a lot to do with security here in Kazakhstan."

Europe is concerned about this issue; French President had brought forward an initiative to convene a special conference on Afghanistan problems. "We both deem that there should not be a military solution of this problem. Our aid that we offer must stimulate Afghanistan people to strive for better life, to stop growing drug plants and engage in agriculture", said the Head of the State. He added it will take a lot of efforts. "It has no roads, no schools. We must train specialists and improve the economy. These are the issues that we have discussed.  And at these points we have share our views", Kazakh President said.
