N. Nazarbayev received Chinese ambassador to Kazakhstan

The main directions of future development of the Kazakh-Chinese relations were discussed at the meeting as well as the issues of preparation for the upcoming visit of President of China Xi Jinping to Kazakhstan.

The Head of State emphasized a high level of friendly relations established between the two countries.

"The visit of Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang paid to Kazakhstan year was a success, we reached a number of important agreements. The initiative of China "One belt, one way" and "Nurly Zhol" program are quite similar. The goals of the two countries as well opinions regarding many issues are the same, we are also building the Western Europe-Western China transport corridor in close cooperation," N. Nazarbayev said.

The Chinese Ambassador noted that the Kazakh-Chinese relations were becoming even stronger, having presently reached their historical height.

"The Kazakhsta-2050 Strategy and "Chinese dream" program are also similar in terms of their goals and terms. China and Kazakhstan are not just good neighbors but also strategic partners. We support all the efforts of Kazakhstan aimed at preserving stability within the country and in the region. China highly values the friendship and bilateral relations with China," Zhang Hanhuey noted.
