N. Nazarbayev: Our main goal - to improve welfare of our people

"A person starts thinking about art, cinema and theatre when he is not hungry and when he has a decent job. Therefore, I had focused my efforts on economic development of Kazakhstan to let people think about art, cinema and theatre. It is the right policy our country adheres to. It is the reason why our country is interested in art. That is why, in comparison with our neighbors, art has always been in the spotlight of our country", the Head of State noted.

"Modernization of education, healthcare system, housing and utilities infrastructure, development of languages and drinking water supply is all that I spoke about in my Address to the Nation are called to improve wellbeing of our people. The 2020 Industrial Program has already been developed. We know our roles, we know what we have to do. It is the time to pay attention to social modernization which is not at its best", N. Nazarbayev said.

According to the President, only the countries with high education level can be winners of global competitiveness. We all want to be confident that our children will get good education and that we will get treatment in good medical institutions with good service. "It is the reason I have been working for all these years", the President added. He also reminded that more than 500 new outpatient clinics and hospitals, 750 new schools, intellectual schools, a new international university had been built the countrywide over the past years.
